Manhole covers and channel gratings are often confused, yet their functions and uses differ.
Manhole Cover
Closed covers that provide access to underground maintenance shafts and utility lines. They open when maintenance is needed. Round or square/rectangular.
Channel Grating
Products with openings that collect surface water and channel it into drainage. Used along streets, car parks and industrial areas. Locking, convex and grooved types exist.
In Common
Both are produced to TS EN 124 load classes from durable cast iron. Choose by function: cover for access, grating for drainage.
